Students will be taught a detailed overview of United States political and legal decisions that affect the cannabis industry today. *There is no charge for this course. Cannabis Health and Science Learn the science of cannabis and how it affects your body and mind. Learn how cannabis can provide relief for various medical conditions and the how and why cannabis works in the human body. Learn the specific science of cannabis and the unique ingredients of marijuana chemistry such as THC and the other 30 plus cannabinoids present in this miracle plant. Get the facts on the best methods to ingest this medicine and the different forms in which it may be used to provide relief for specific ailments and therapeutic uses. Cooking with Cannabis Our experienced chef will instruct you in various techniques for cooking with marijuana. Discover how to achieve consistent dosage in your edibles and produce the highest quality foods from brownies to meatloaf. Our chef will guide students in selecting ingredients for specific recipes. Learn the various cannabis extraction methods and how to best utilize these in various forms of cooking. Know when to use sativa, indica, or a combination of the two in order to achieve your desired results. Students will learn how to utilize cannabis to make medical salad dressings to main course meals including desserts. Methods of Ingestion Students will explore the various ways in which to use this medication and learn the intricacies of each. Some of the ingestion methods discussed will include: joints, water pipes, vaporizers, edibles, and salves. This course will advise students about advantages and disadvantages of each method. Getting the most out of your cannabis Did you know that one pound of trim (not bud) can yield an ounce or more of high quality hash?
